In 1976, George Christie Jr. joined the Los Angeles charter of the Hells Angels and quickly gained fame within the group. Within six months, he was elected as the gang’s president, and in 1978, he established the Ventura charter. After serving as their leader for a while, he decided to leave the Hells Angels.
